Every day, the Microsoft Connector transports hundreds of Microsoft employees to and from work. I imagine people reading, texting, working…basically staying in their own worlds. Kerry was no different, until she noticed an attractive guy who started to take the same 8 AM Connector. In her own words, “I thought he was really cute and I knew I wanted to get to know him better. So I did what any girl would do and I started dressing up more for work and sitting next to him on the bus to get him to notice me.” Kerry was too shy to initiate any conversation, but it turns out that Kerry’s new interest, Kevin, had definitely noticed her. At a networking event they both attended, he took the opportunity to introduce himself and said that he recognized her from the bus. They hit it off, and bus rides to work were suddenly much more entertaining as they got to know each other. After a month, Kevin finally asked Kerry out on a date.
Microsoft “Love” Connector for the win. 😉
Kerry and Kevin still seem just as smitten with each other as when they first met, and I had a wonderful time photographing them for their engagement session. The two of them live near the Olympic Sculpture Park so they decided to have their engagement session there. I love the Sculpture Park because it offers so many different backdrops, plus it’s fun to walk through and see the views and all of the people enjoying the city.
These two have the sweetest interactions; Kevin looks at his future bride so adoringly and Kerry always has a smile or a laugh for him.
If you head north along the path and borders the water you end up in Myrtle Edwards Park, where there is an awesome driftwood beach, plus a bunch of trees and benches overlooking the water.
I’ll end on this note. The clouds during the sunset were stunning and I was able to capture this intimate silhouette of these two lovebirds.
Kerry and Kevin, I had a wonderful time with you, and I can’t wait for next June! 😀
P.S. Huge shout out to my friend, Cameron, for assisting me on this shoot!
