It’s quite evident that Hannah and Chris adore one another; the way they look at each other from the corner of their eyes, smile, and then laugh because they’re just so dang happy. They have such fun spending time together. The two of them met at work at a Seattle design firm. They didn’t date right away, but Hannah remembers how Chris was so nice, and she soon realized that she wanted to be with him, with someone who would treat her with kindness and respect.
They’ve shared many experiences together, and really enjoy going to Portland. It was there that Chris proposed to Hannah during a surprise weekend getaway. In Laurelhurst Park, under the shade of some trees where they had napped the prior summer, he told her, “I’ve been waiting a long time to come back here…” and he asked her to be his wife.
We had a wonderful time during their engagement session in West Seattle at both Lincoln Park and just around the corner from Alki Beach. Seattle has had such lovely weather recently, and this evening was no exception. I’m so excited to photograph Hannah and Chris’ wedding at Within Sodo in October!
These two were seriously nothing but smiles the whole evening.
There was beautiful backlight streaming through the trees at the park.
After Lincoln Park we headed to the beach next to Marination Ma Kai to check out the Seattle skyline before the sun went down.
But I think the two of them were a bit more focused on each other. 😉
I loved this neat looking retaining wall along the beach…it served as a unique backdrop!
I loved Hannah’s fun necklaces she wore during the session. Bold accessories really dress up an outfit and add personality! Chris, you’re a stud, too, don’t worry. 🙂
It didn’t take much persuading to get Chris to wrap Hannah in his arms at the end of the night.
And Seattle was looking fine as ever.

Engagement sessions are part of all of my wedding packages, and I really enjoy them because it gives me a chance to get to know my couples better, see what it’s like to work together, and provide them with some beautiful images. I always have so much fun with these sessions and exploring different places around Seattle!
