Back in May I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding with the über talented Brian David Casey. We got to spend the day with an amazing couple and their hilarious friends and family. Linh and Romeo had a beautiful wedding at the Maritime Event Center in Seattle, but the day started at the Hyatt Olive 8 Seattle as the bridal party got ready, followed by the Olympic Sculpture Park for photos before the ceremony.
In honor of being able to shoot my second wedding with Brian later today, I wanted to finally post these. 🙂
I spent the first part of the day capturing the laughter and smiles as all of the gals got ready at the Hyatt Olive 8 Seattle.

Linh’s parents started off the night thanking everyone for being there – and by getting a few laughs out of the newlyweds. 🙂 I was up on the balcony for many of the reception photos, ensuring a very different perspective from Brian’s, who was down on the main floor. Something that’s really neat about having a second shooter at a wedding is the variety of images that are captured!

Huge, massive, ginormous thank you to Brian David Casey for giving me the opportunity to second shoot this wedding with him. Despite the fact that we went to rival alma maters (go Dawgs!), we had a great time working together and I learned a lot from him! I can’t wait to shoot with him later today at Sodo Park Herban Feast!!
I also just want to add a note of how seriously great Linh and Romeo and the rest of their crew are. I was a complete stranger to them all at the beginning of the day, but especially thanks to the opportunities that Brian gave to me to photograph the bridal party on my own as he worked on some other photos, I was able to make a fun connection with them, and this was truly a wedding that I won’t forget. Linh and Romeo even came to my photography show in Edmonds back in July. They’re just the sweetest and I’m so glad they’re happy together! I’m grateful to have been part of this day.
