Claire and I have known each other for twenty years. She is one of my best friends. We have inside jokes for daaaayssss and can definitely read each other’s minds. I still cherish a huge storage box full of all the notes she wrote me between 6th – 12th grades. If we’d gone to the same college I’m sure the notes would have continued. Actually, she did find her way to the UW by way of the Law School, but I was outta there by then. However, that meant that we had a common affection for purple and gold, and could spout off Wazzu jokes together.
Then Claire met Mike. A Coug. And the Wazzu jokes have increased. 🙂 All in good fun, of course. (And Mike dishes the UW jokes right back.) Mike is a Cougar who gets some of my highest approval. He loves Claire the way a friend wants all of her girlfriends to be loved. He makes her laugh so hard. He’s a wonderful partner – They train for marathons together. They go on amazing trips. They love going for walks with their dogs and making delicious salads from their backyard vegetable garden.
I could go on and on about the two of them (Claire especially – I have two decades of material to work with!). But I won’t. I’ll just show you their engagement photos. And tell you that I love them sooooo much!!
We had such a fun day at the Washington Park Arboretum back in August. (And it was especially fun for me because my pal that I met on creativeLIVE, Laura Adams, came along to second shoot for me! If you live in San Antonio and need your photos taken, look her up!)
