Tracie has always been rather bold and outgoing. She and I played sports together growing up and you always knew when Tracie was on the field or in the gym. 😉 (Nothin’ but love, Trace!) She played fastpitch for DePaul in college, and then went to Wisconsin for grad school and to coach. At Wisconsin, she attended her first tailgate ever, and it changed her life. It didn’t surprise me when I asked her how she met the love of her life, Ryan, and she said, “I saw Ryan walking across the tailgating area and I marched (literally) up to him, stuck my hand out, and introduced myself. And then hung out with him the rest of the day, and the rest is history.” Simple as that. And apparently Ryan enjoyed her boldness and enthusiastic nature, because their history currently spans six-and-a-half years. They share a love for softball (Tracie coaches for Wisconsin and Ryan is a slow pitch die-hard) and their families.
The day started out pouring rain, a seemingly ‘typical’ day in the Seattle area. But it has been sunny for the last month and a half, why is it raining now?! I scouted the venue and took photos in the rain as I awaited Tracie and her bridal part to arrive at Tazer Valley Farm in Stanwood from getting all fancified at Eastside Salon. As I photographed the gals putting on their final touches, I kept my eyes on the window to see if the weather had changed, and I mentally ran through the potential covered areas that would work for photos if we couldn’t be outside. Then, just as Tracie was slipping into her shoes and said, “I’m ready,” the rain stopped. For the entire day until I was packing into my car. It was amazing. The scenery was lush and green. People were celebratory. Tracie and Ryan could not stop smiling. So, I just want to say thank you to the rain gods for showing a little mercy that day so we could take full advantage of being in a beautiful place with two beautiful people.
Tracie and Ryan, it was my absolute pleasure capturing your wedding day. Thank you for the honor of letting me be your shadow and art director. 😉 I can tell how much fun you guys have together and how you balance each other, and I know that will only strengthen your marriage for many years to come. Congratulations!
Tracie and Ryan opted to see each other before their ceremony, which allowed for ample time for us to capture photos of just them so they’d be sure to enjoy all the wedding excitement later.
Tazer Valley Farm is seriously beyond gorgeous. There are so many wonderful scenes for a great mix of wedding photos.
Aren’t they just cuties together. Always laughing.
Tracie, you are such a stunning bride!
So much sister love, I can’t stand it. 😀
I loved the antique car that Tazer Valley Farm has for a classy getaway!
What’s a wedding without cornhole. Seriously.
Nope, they don’t live in Arizona. Tracie and Ryan had a unique ‘guest book’ in the shape of their last initials.
Tracie and her dad are very close, and I know it’s tough for her living far from home. She and her dad were smiling and laughing any time they were together this day.
I’ll end with this image…Tracie and Ryan, may you always light each other’s lives!
